Francesca Ciampi

For the past three years I have been committed to deepening my knowledge about mental health issues and raising awareness. I did it own my own and through my social media, hoping to reach as many people as I could. In my country the situation is awful. Many youngsters die and struggle a lot for mental health problems. Unfortunately, I suffered as well, and now I feel extremely lucky because I had the possibility to go to therapy and pay for doctors. I think we must increase awareness about mental health issues, we must take it seriously and help people feel less lonely. I really would like to give my contribution in organising events and I know that I will always do my best.

I am so grateful of what UCL and the Mental Health Society are doing, and I am PROUD to be a Member of the Society since the beginning of the Term.

I am extremely motivated and excited to do my part in this "little" but SIGNIFICANT journey. This would be a wonderful experience that I will remember for the rest of my life and from which I expect to learn a lot. This experience will also help me get closer to the people and comunicate with them. I really hope to have this chance.
