MEDLIFE Society: Treasurer

Hello! My name is Hannah, I’m MEDLIFE’s current vice president stepping in for treasurer and now formally running. To maintain our status as a society, I stepped into the position of treasurer at the start of this year to complete mandatory training. However, after getting into the groove of organizing expenses and constantly communicating with SU finance to monitor our financial account, I found that, perhaps, my true vocation was here all along. 

I’m an ambitious leader with many opportunities in the works for UCL MEDLIFE. My vision is to expand MEDLIFE’s chapter here at UCL from fundraising purely for our parent organization, to creating opportunities for our members to engage with the local community, volunteering, and fundraising for organizations that share MEDLIFE’s vision of ‘Medicine, Education, and Development For Low-Income Families Everywhere. Understandably, not everyone can afford the travel expenses for our summer service trip, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still gain something out of your experience with MEDLIFE! 

At the moment, I am spearheading the ‘Saturday Morning Cartoons’ fundraiser with Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, hoping to bring a fun and unique twist to traditional fundraising initiatives. If you enjoyed our winter hot chocolate fundraiser last year, you’ll be thrilled to hear that I am eager to expand this operation to include a donation drive for a local women’s outreach center (who I am currently in communication with sorting out all the logistics).
