Medical Society: Radiology Chair

I’m running to be your MedSoc Radiology Chair.

I’ve been passionate about radiology and increasing medical student education in imaging, something I feel isn’t emphasised enough throughout medical school.

I aim to host events that give insight into radiology as a specialty and increase students’ exposure and awareness of it.

Oftentimes it feels that by the time clinical years come around, students have lost their attachment and grounding in anatomy they have developed in preclinical years, and so I am passionate about reviving this and hosting anatomy teaching through an imaging perspective.

Through my research in radiology and my upcoming elective placement, I’ve reached out and expanded upon my network of radiology consultants and educators who are eager to facilitate tutorials, lectures and webinars on imaging teaching. I believe these events MedSoc will host will help shape future junior doctors to become more competent and confident in image interpretation.
