Valentine Sender

I've acted as interim Welfare Officer for the Liberal Democrat Society since the start of term and I've enjoyed being able to organise events and make sure they were inclusive and respectful. With the committee, we've organised speaker events, debates, and socials, which were successful occasions to exchange and discuss politics respectfully.

I would like to pursue this as elected Welfare Officer of the society. I particularly want to focus on making sure that every member can express themselves during our events. I also want to incite more women's political involvement and participation within our society. 

I think Welfare Officer is an important position and my involvement within the committee during this first half of the term has shown how committed I am to fulfil this role.
