Election post
As a non-law student pursuing a legal career, I know firsthand that going into law can seem daunting and at times far-fetched and am eager to make it more accessible and welcoming to those in a similar situation. I strongly believe that Law for All society is not only helpful but very necessary in bridging the gap between non-law undergraduates and the legal field as these students rarely if at all encounter avenues for legal discourse and support at university. The role of Events Officer is crucial to the society's efforts to immerse students in real-life, hands-on experiences with law and one that appeals greatly to my creative mind for brainstorming ideas as well as my knack for and readiness to engage with peers and sponsors to coordinate events. The events themselves, in particular MOOTs and panel talks, very much attract me as I rarely come across such opportunities. I relish hands-on activities like these and would derive even greater joy from being involved in organising them. This role would unite my career goals and interactions at university and allow me to have a truly positive impact on UCL's legal dialogue and community, something that I have always wanted.
