Cara Sophia Wisden

I've played lacrosse since I was 11 (there was a 3-year hiatus, oops.) and have always really enjoyed the sport, being both highly competitive and loving the team aspect. Having fallen victim to more than one ginning myself, I feel as though I am well equipped to dole them out, and shall endeavor to perfect the skill if elected captain. I would aim to expand the ranks of Women's 2s lacrosse through promotion and outreach to people new to lacrosse and those who perhaps missed the initial recruitment during the frenzy of freshers week. Myself a fresher I could certainly cajole some fellow youths to boost numbers and make sure that our team has a strong winning streak. I would also want to build up the team spirit through Women's 2s socials, particularly with Christmas approaching, and with it, the real highlight of the festive period: Laxmas. Lacrosse, and the killer Phinneas/SCALA combination that has me walking in 30 minutes late to my Thursday 11 am lecture, Pret coffee in one hand, paracetamol in the other, has fast become a favourite fixture of mine within university life and I would love the opportunity to rep the team!!
