In Aid of UNICEF Society: Welfare Officer

Having taken part in Student Voice, I found the experience of looking after my peers’ wellbeing and being able to impact and change the student experience very rewarding. It was a role which required creativity, the ability to provide solutions to problems students were facing and the ability to articulate them to the student body and then the leaders of the school. Similarly, as welfare officer, I want to be able to make a difference to the experience of society members and be a point of contact for support. As interim communication officer, I have also taken part in organising social events for society members and I have contributed to facilitating communication through social media outlets for promotion. As welfare officer, I want to continue being able to contribute to the experience of society members and further support society members by creating an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome to participate in the fundraising efforts and society events.
