Ichika Aradono

Hello! My name is Ichika and I am in my second year studying BSc Cancer Biomedicine.

I have been involved in the immunology society as a member last year, and I am now hoping to become a committee member this year! In particular, as a Social media officer, I aim to build on my previous experiences with social media at various societies and an NPO I volunteered at. Firstly, as a volunteer at a Japanese NPO supporting cancer patients, I was responsible for social media promotions to attract followers and notify them about events. Secondly, I have experience creating content advertising various events for societies using Canva. This was for events such as the Fresher's Fair at the Genetics Society and for the Cancer Charity Alliance Society. I believe these experiences will allow me to effectively promote events and attract followers for the Immunology Society's social media pages as well.

I strongly look forward to being granted this opportunity to contribute to the Immunology Society by helping organize and promote the society's social media pages.

Peony Lam

Hi! I’m Peony and currently a second-year student in MPharm. I would like to become the social media officer for the immunology society in the upcoming year!

I’m an outgoing and bubbly individual who enjoys spending a lot of time editing and art on my own time. In this role, I hope to increase the social media presence of the society by informing and promoting all the speaker events, socialising, and opportunities accessible to members of the society. I also wish to coordinate and maintain strong communications with other committee members to ensure members of the society can voice their interests in different types of events by doing polls on stories to build a stronger, more cohesive community.

My previous role of running my sixth-form Instagram account and currently being part of running the UCL Pharmalliance social media platforms will assist me in this role by having experience in creating and editing posts on a variety of platforms ie. Canva, VLLO and Snappa. Also, working part-time in a pharmacy has provided me with transferrable skills of having good listening and communication skills to listen to the voices of society members and interacting with committee members to create a greater engagement.

Thank you for reading and I hope you will vote for me to serve as the social media officer to make a positive impact and build an online community this year!
