Having fenced sabre for seven years in many different countries such as Turkey, Belgium and Romania, I believe my experience enables me to represent such a diverse and strong team as women's First at UCL. I have been a part of UCL fencing since the last academic year, which was also my first year in London, and have done my best to represent it the best way possible by participating in every competition I could for both Women's First and Second teams, as well as training with other sabreurs every Thursday evening. Communication plays a crucial part in representing a team. I am used to having to communicate while planning trainings or creating teams among fencers for competitions, as I am also a sabre coach at Escrime Academy. Additionally, I have acquired my British Academy of Fencing Level 1 Coaching certification and hope to use my knowledge for the rest of the team whenever needed. Having met many of UCL fencers during trainings and socials, I am looking forward to representing them!
