I'm a very driven 1st year International Social and Political Studies student, and I'd love to be Head of Events at European Horizons, since I have plenty of experience in leadership and event-planning. In high school, I held leadership positions in a lot of extracurriculars- I was president of a charity group fundraising for education projects in Tanzania, president of my school's eco-club, Head of Delegation in Model UN, the creator of a project to make the school dress code more inclusive, and general officer in the National Honors Society, amongst others. The work in these positions gave me skills and experience in areas like leadership, public speaking, time management, and organization, as I had to plan and speak at weekly meetings, organize the activities' goals and efforts each year, communicate with different sectors of the school, and oversee groups. Especially for the charity group and the eco-club, a crucial part of our work was event-planning, so I have a lot of experience in that area as well; the events I organized include a silent auction at a gala, 2 concerts with 200+ people each, and stands at school events with 800+ people. I know the steps required in event planning, as well as in awareness-raising and advertising for events, and I'm ready to apply those skills at European Horizons. I'm an experienced and fast learner, with motivation and knowledge in the areas covered by European Horizons, so I believe I'd be an excellent candidate. Thank you!
