Election post
I am currently an English student so joining the English society seemed like the natural first step. If it weren't for that, the promise of museum visits and picnics in the park would have sold me on it anyway. So far, I've had such a great time as a member of the society, finding like-minded people and exploring new interests. There aren't many events that have happened this year that I didn't attend so I have a good idea of what the society is like and what will be expected of me should I make it to the committee. I understand the responsibilities that come with the position of treasurer and am happy to undertake them.
I think I could do a good job managing the finances for the society and putting on more events going forward. The English society is such a great space for all of us dark academia loving, prose and poetry enthusiasts who probably want to visit the Lake District at some point in the near future. I have loved being a part of this community and would be honoured to go a step further by joining the committee.
(P.S. The picture of me is at Brontë House if that helps)
