Rabbia Tariq

I am deeply enthusiastic about diplomacy and its role in shaping global affairs. This passion fuels my desire to contribute to the UCL Diplomacy Society and share the importance of diplomatic discourse with fellow students. I aim to use my marketing skills to not only attract new members but also to convey the significance of diplomatic engagement in today's interconnected world.

Marketing is not just about promoting events; it's about creating a narrative that resonates with our audience. I bring a strategic vision to the role, with a focus on aligning our messaging with the values and goals of the UCL Diplomacy Society. From leveraging social media to designing compelling promotional materials, I am committed to showcasing the unique opportunities our society offers.

I see the potential for significant growth in the UCL Diplomacy Society, both in terms of membership and influence. Through targeted marketing campaigns, I aim to not only increase our reach within the university community but also enhance our reputation as a hub for diplomatic discussions and networking opportunities.

Carolina De La Rosa

I am standing because I would like to become the marketing officer for the Diplomacy society.

I believe that I would be a good fit for this position for various reasons such as the fact that I have experience serving on other committees and societies, as well as previous work experience that has taught me time management skills, as well as with now being a public figure, Miss London 2023/2024, and the platform that I now have to being able to promote the Diplomacy society at UCL.

I am currently an academic rep for the anthropology department, as well as student rep of neurodivergencies and disabilities withing the EDI committee in the anthropology department too. Furthermore, I am the welfare officer in the IR society, I would serve as a branch or bridge between the two societies to promote more events and collaborations. And as Miss London 2023/2024, I can get connected with even more people to host events as well as promote our events and platforms through the promotions that I would need to do.

As for previous work experience, I have worked/interned for two summers already for the U.S. House of Representatives in Constituent Services, which has taught me patience with answering phone calls and people's questions as well as learning how to act and think fast to difficult cases, such as with deportation and visa expiration.
