As women’s officer want to make sure that UCL CC is inclusive to all genders is a safe space for those who identify as women and as non binary. This will make sure advanced riders have the right environment to excel in their training, and beginners feel welcomed to the cycling community.

I propose to do this with:

- Weekly rides for women and non binary riders, cafe stop included!

- Group rides with the girls and enbies from other cycling clubs

- Screening socials for pro women’s races

- Championing gender equity within UCL Cycling Club community and all events it participates in

- Listening to ideas from our members and implementing changes as needed

Hey I’m a postgrad student who’s always been involved in competitive sport in some capacity. I’ve nominated myself for women’s officer because I relate to how getting involved in a mixed gender sport may be initially intimidating or be a space where some may not feel completely comfortable. As a women’s officer my focus would to be to generate a safe atmosphere to simply enjoy the fun of cycling!
