I am passionate about seeing the Connect.ed Society grow its membership, specifically through organizing enjoyable and engaging events. I believe that the society has incredible potential to not only enrich students academically - through programs such as the Research Mentorship Program - but also socially with events such as the Science Museum Lates trip and the upcoming debate. Personally, I’m invested in being a  Connect.ed Events Executive as I enjoy organizing events and see this as an invaluable opportunity to enhance my own skills, as well as contribute meaningfully to the UCL student community.

In terms of experience, I have have worked as part of professional events teams in hospitality, for instance at The Ivy, Sea Containers Hotel and Sea Horse Events, and believe that these experiences have greatly helped to improve my time-management and organisational skills. Additionally, they have prepared me for working in high-pressure environments and adapting to the unexpected. Outside of professional work, I have organized many events among friends and family such as birthday parties and trips across Europe and Africa. Also, having occupied a range of part-time roles as well as Transition Mentoring, I am used to communicating and coordinating within a team.

I hope that I can be considered as a viable candidate for this position and look forward to potentially serving this amazing society!! :)
