Hi everyone!

I'm Nischal, and I'm asking for your vote to be your UCL Telugu Society Sport Secretary.

Sport has always been a huge part of my life, and I appreciate its importance in bringing people together. I'm running because I want to make sure everyone has a chance to get involved, have fun, and socialise, no matter your skill level!

As a first-year, I'm incredibly enthusiastic about  Telugu Soc and have the time (and energy)  to be committed to this role.  I want to play a part in the growth of this society, and I believe that I'm the right person for the job.

If elected, I would focus on a few, simple things:

  • Organising fairly regular, casual sport events such as 5-a-side football, badminton tournaments, and other sports.
  • Setting up society socials focused on watching live sporting events such as big cricket or football matches together.
  • Maybe even planning one large event such as a sporting tournament against another cultural society.

I also have experience in similar roles. For example, when I was in Year 12, I helped organise and host football tournaments for the lower-school as part of a  fundraising initiative for a Young Enterprise company. This involved figuring out entry prices,  marketing to students, and coordinating with relevant members of staff. It gave me great experience which I believe will help me in this role. It's a big reason why you should vote for me.

Thank you for your time and please consider voting for me.

Regards,

Nischal
