Street Aid Society: Outreach Officer

Hi everyone! I’m Julia Roquette — I was part of the society last year and I really loved being involved. This society has always felt genuine and welcoming. This year, I’d love to take on more responsibility, which is why I’m running for the Outreach Officer position.
I think there’s so much potential for the society to grow and connect even more. I already have a few ideas for how we can expand our outreach — like collaborating with other societies here at UCL, and possibly even linking up with similar groups across the University of London to run joint events or outreach programmes. I attended outreach regularly last year, so I feel like I have a good understanding of how the society works and where we could build further.
I am currently in my second year of Global Humanitarian Studies, so the idea of positive community impact is really important to me. I genuinely see the value of what we do as a society and I’d love to help us continue making a positive impact while growing even further.
I’d love the chance to support this society in a bigger way — and I hope I can do that as your Outreach Officer :)
