Polo Club: Publicity Secretary

i am hoping to bring the fun to the ucl polo instagram and recruit more active polo members. i am running for public secretary as i have extensive experience with media. for example managing lighting design campaign for asos, raising 500,000£ for charity - recruiting people to donate products and experiences over social media which were auctioned, walking 7 london fashion week shows, editing photos for photographers personal books . check out my insta @_beaa_g_ for some more pics of my experience. i also have managed social media accounts for fashion brands before posting regularly whilst capturing the life of the brand. i really hope you consider me for this position as i would love to make the instagram more aesthetic and capture the high life of polo at UCL.

Hey everyone! I'm Bella and I would like to nominate myself for a Publicity Secretary position. I started playing polo at the University of Warwick and have been lucky to continue training  during my gap year and now at UCL. It's been a pleasure meeting and playing with all of you.  I'm deeply passionate about the polo club at UCL and want to contribute to its growth and development. I've always admired the dynamic nature of this sport -  how it combines elegance, speed and teamwork and would love to capture it on camera and share it on the club's media outlets.

The social media is a reflection of our club to the outsider and it's integral to maintaining a strong reputation both within the university and across the wider polo community. It's also the primary way of attracting potential members and sponsors. I would be committed to growing the club's following on Instagram and TikTok by creating consistent, aesthetic and engaging content and by strategising to increase reach and interaction. 

I believe I would be a good fit for this role as I enjoy photography and would love to showcase the club's atmosphere - whether it's lessons, tournaments or spectating trips and social events. Additionally, I've completed a Fashion Styling and Media course at UAL which taught me about marketing, trend analysis and visual storytelling - skills I would use to create a polished media's direction. 

Hey guys I have been undertaking this role informally for the last year and would love to keep doing it formally for the current academic year. 

I am at most events to take photographs for everyone's personal use and for the club itself and have been responsible for growing the instagram (we've gained over 60,000 views to it in the last month alone!) so if you like our socials or having pictures taken at lessons, tournaments and at our social events that wont cost an arm and a leg from professionals, please vote for me!

Over the next couple of months I am hoping to introduce live-streaming of all of our matches so parents, friends and club members that aren't there in person are able to watch and will be really helpful for everyone playing to watch back their own matches for review. I'll also be taking pictures at the black tie Christmas dinner and come grass season all of our spectating events alongside our winter events such as the point-to-point and clay shoot.
