Mindful Society: Treasurer

Hello everyone,

I’m Leo, a final year Urban Planning and Design student. I’m running for the position of Treasurer of the Mindful Society. Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of serving in this role on an interim basis, and I would love the opportunity to continue for the rest of the year! 

I became a member of this society in my second year and found such a lovely community of people. I learned so much about practising mindfulness and really value the regular environment it provided me through the stressful year at UCL. I would love to continue giving back to this society through this role and hope to contribute my ideas and experience as much as possible. 

During my time as Treasurer so far, I’ve worked with the other amazing members of the committee to plan events and look after the society's finances.  I've put in a lot of time into this role and have enjoyed learning about how our society operates - I wish to continue in this role and hope to continue getting to know our members.

If elected, I aim to:

• Secure funding and sponsorships to support more inclusive and interesting activities.
• Work closely with the members to take on event ideas to deliver unique and exciting events throughout the year.
• Take on suggestions to learn how we can improve the society's events and structure to make it the best for each of our members.
