Medical Society: Pre-Clinical Education Chair

I am standing for Preclinical Education Chair because I’ve experienced firsthand how much difference good peer teaching can make. The preclinical years can be intense, and I want to help make them more engaging, supportive and enjoyable for everyone.

As a Transition Mentor, I ran weekly sessions for first-year students and learnt how to adapt teaching based on feedback so the sessions stayed relevant and useful. I’d love to build on this experience by helping refine MedSoc’s tutorial programme to make it more interactive, student-centred and responsive to what students actually need.

I want to make tutorials more engaging with short case studies and practical examples, improve how we use feedback to shape future sessions, and provide clear summary resources students can revisit during revision. I’m also keen to collaborate with other societies to expand the range of academic support available. Ultimately, I want to ensure every student feels confident, supported, and part of a community that values learning together.

Hi everyone! I'm running to continue as your Preclinical Education Chair - a role I've absolutely loved holding these past few months. From organising tutorials to working with our brilliant subcommittee, I've seen how much potential there is to make tutorials even more engaging and useful. This year, I want to take things even further with pop quizzes, more mock CPSA sessions and interactive anatomy challenges to help you feel exam ready.  I'm also keen to collaborate with other MedSoc branches and societies to bring together even more integrated events.

I'd be thrilled to continue working with such a motivated team and to bring even more creativity, collaboration and energy to the role.
