I believe that Lamorna Society is a perfect place for everyone to express their creativity, make new friends and simply have fun. I am drawn to the opportunity offered by the role of vice-president, as I would allow me to help create a warm and welcoming environment for all members during every candle making session.

Having had the experience of working in a team as Head of Boarding in my penultimate year of high school, where I organized and hosted events and activities for students aged 11-18  to foster a strong sense of community environment between boarding houses, I understand how crucial the values of communication, time management and teamwork are. Furthermore, I co-hosted EAL (English as an Additional Language) sessions for a year, where I created a fun and inclusive environment to help students build confidence when speaking. Therefore, I will be able to apply the qualities and skills I have developed through these experiences to my role as vice-president of Lamorna.

As an active and keen learner, I believe I will be able to transition smoothly into this new role and learn more about the art of candle making. Moreover, I look forward to working with the team to assist during preparation sessions, generate and test new ideas, and ensure the smooth running of monthly candle workshops.
