Knitting Society: Charity Officer

Hi everyone, I am Ally and I would like to nominate myself for the position of Charity Officer in Knit Soc!  I first learnt how to crochet  in knit soc last year and I would like to contribute back to the community.

I would love to be the charity officer for knitting society as it combines both my hobbies, crocheting as well as engaging in charitable work!  I think its a great opportunity to expand the society's network and make connections with the wider community.  I would love to be involved in organising  knit and crochet charity based projects such as making items for hospitals and homeless shelters, especially as we are approaching the colder winter months.  I also really enjoy meeting new people and so i am extremely motivated to build positive relationships with local charities and community centres.  Crafting with a purpose and raising awareness can be so rewarding i would love to promote this ethos  into the society!
