Ciao! My name is Konstancja Margherita and I would love to be considered for the First year representative for UCL’s Italian Society. Being half Italian and half Polish I've grown up with two diverse cultures and languages that have taught me the importance of celebrating diversity. I would love to contribute the same energy to this society and really emphasise that it is a place for both Italians and non-Italians, making everyone feel welcome. With my family being from Piemonte, and growing up with the traditions from this region, it has made me aware of the smaller traditions and dialects spoken all over Italy, making it a rich and unique country. Making first year students feel comfortable sharing their backgrounds is something that I feel is important to contribute. As a First year representative, my goal would be to ensure that first year students are aware of the events that Italian society offers and let them feel involved and welcomed, despite being new to the university. I also think it would be great to do more collaborations with other European societies, and host joint cultural events. Overall, I would aim to be a friendly voice for first year members - gathering feedback and sharing these ideas with the committee. I'm passionate about being a part of a society where we can all connect through our culture, food and language. I would be excited to be elected for this position and grateful for being considered. Grazie mille!!!
Ciao a tutti!!! 🇮🇹
My name is Lucrezia (but everyone calls me ✨Luli✨) and I'm from Rome. I study Politics and International Relations here at UCL, and would love to become First Year Rep for the Italian Society to help build a community that will feel like home for both Italians and Italian lovers. I believe our culture, from politics to pasta, deserves to be celebrated and shared. Having moved here from Italy, I understand the challenges and excitement of adapting to a new academic and cultural environment. I’d love to support other first years in living this transition, while also creating opportunities to connect through events, discussions, and of course, a bit of Italian flair. I’m ready to represent our voices, ideas, and interests. Whether it’s organising aperitivi, Italian movie nights, promoting cultural debates, or simply being a friendly face, I’m committed to making our society a home away from home.
I hope I convinced you to vote for me!
Baci a tutti! 💋🤌🍕🛵
Ciao! 🇮🇹
Nice to meet everyone!
My name is Matteo, and I'm a first-year Politics and International Relations student. I would love to serve as the First-Year Representative for the Italian Society!
Having lived in Milan (and with roots in Sardinia) for most of my life, I’m excited to help build a welcoming community for Italian and non-Italian students here at UCL.
Whether you're here for the language, the culture, or just our delicious food, I look forward to creating a fun and inclusive environment with students from all years!
In high school, I served as Head Student, worked as a student council member, and led a tutoring club, where I mentored younger students and helped organise events. These experiences taught me how to listen, collaborate, and bring people together.
If elected, I hope to:
- Support and represent the voices of first-year students
- Help organise social + cultural events
- Promote collaboration across societies
- Ensure our society is inclusive, fun, and active
I’d love to contribute my experience, enthusiasm, and Italian roots to help make this society a strong community for all!
Grazie mille 😁
I’d be honoured to represent you! 🇮🇹
