I love Jesus and I love people. My heart is to help build a genuine community where we can walk with God together, hold each other accountable, and share the joy of the Lord. I’m confident speaking up and sharing ideas or feedback - whether my own or from my peers - and I love creating spaces where everyone feels involved and valued.
I’d love to be part of the VOCE committee to strengthen my bond with other believers on campus and to grow together in faith. I also see it as an opportunity to share how God has been speaking to me in my quiet times with Him, and to encourage others in their walks too.
I am running for First-Year Representative because I want to help create a strong and welcoming community for students who share a passion for the Gospel and the things of Christ. As a first-year student myself, I understand how important it is to find time in your busy schedule for things of God. This reminds me that that fellowship and upholding/ encouraging one another are a vital part of our walk with Christ, and I want to help create a space where students can grow spiritually, be poured into, and find family in the body of Christ. It is important to feel rooted, supported, and connected—especially in an environment that can feel new and overwhelming. I would like to use this position to ensure that each and every first-year student feels seen, encouraged, and valued during this difficult transition period : not only in terms of academics but also in terms of their faith.
I’m committed to bringing fresh ideas, strong communication, and genuine enthusiasm to the role. Whether it’s helping organise events, gathering feedback, or reaching out to students who may not yet feel confident getting involved, I want to make sure our society reflects what the Gospel teaches: fellowship, humility, and love. Ultimately, I’m running because I want to contribute to a community where faith isn’t just practiced, but lived out together.
Hey everyone, I’m Mauri and I am running to be your first year rep for 2025/2026.
I believe here at VOCE we are all seeking to be in the presence of God, to grow in His knowledge and build a community. I’m excited to be able to help in any way I can whether it’s assisting with or helping organising events, or even just having a chat. We should all be able to fit in, praise God and have fun and that’s what I want VOCE to be for everyone. I’m keen on making VOCE a safe space for everyone and enable us all to build a lasting community for the Glory of Christ !
