I want to stand for the welfare officer for Era because I believe in the community that Era Journal has created and want to actively participate and crate a space where every person who want to contribute to the community, and be apart of the journal can feel welcome and accepted. Era Journals creative and artistic community is such an important space and having a welfare officer who cares for each individual member is really important to me.
Hi! My name is Emilia. To briefly introduce myself, my favorite color is green, my favorite authors include Milan Kundera and Dolly Alderton, and my go to beverage is a coconut milk latte. I am running as welfare officer because I care deeply about fostering a supportive and inclusive environment at Era, for I believe that when we take care of each other, our creativity flourishes. I'd like to say I am as equally an open book as ear. As someone who has only gained the courage to start sharing her writing this year, I can vouch first hand that I know the value of encouragement and feeling welcomed in this space. I am deeply organized and thoughtful in all my work; I hold past experience in cabinet positions in societies such as being a secretary. As welfare officer, I would hope to continue promoting inclusivity, creativity, and connection amongst us members, and be someone who you can reach out to for support, as well as someone who you feel can advocate for you.
