I’m standing for the Publications Officer role because I’m drawn to the idea of using writing and design to connect people and spark conversation. Studying Global Humanitarian Studies has taught me how communication shapes the way we understand risk, resilience, and each other, and I’d love to bring that perspective into the DRRH Society.
As a UCL MAPS Digital Ambassador, I’ve written blogs, produced videos, and created digital campaigns that make academic ideas more approachable. I’ve also done freelance graphic design work for educators and fitness instructors, which taught me how to tell stories visually and build an audience through clear, creative communication.
I’d love to use the skills I've learned to make the society’s work feel accessible and alive through newsletters, blogs, or features that reflect who we are and what we care about. Whether that’s spotlighting members’ projects, sharing reflections from events, or just giving space to thoughtful ideas, I want the publications to feel like something people genuinely look forward to reading.
