Isabelle Mary Bisgood

I am standing for the role of Social Media Officer because I’ve developed a genuine interest in dermatology and would love to help share that with others. Attending the dermatology teaching series has really strengthened my enthusiasm for the field, and it has been inspiring to learn more about the variety and importance of skin health. My interest first began when I shadowed a dermatologist and saw how impactful dermatological care can be on a patient's confidence, from helping patients with chronic conditions to improving quality of life.

As Social Media Officer, I hope to make the Dermatology Society’s online presence something that reflects this same sense of curiosity and interest. I want to create posts that are engaging, informative, and approachable by showcasing events, sharing learning opportunities, and highlighting the aspects of dermatology that often go unseen such as the psychological impact of skin conditions and the intersection between dermatology and other specialties. My aim is to help more students discover what makes this specialty so rewarding, and to build a platform where students can learn, get involved, and connect over a shared interest in skin health.

Zainab Mashal Hussain Wasti

Hi everyone!

I’m Zainab, a fifth-year medical student, and I’m running to be your Social Media Officer for UCL DermSoc!

Having taken on the interim media role, I’ve really enjoyed creating engaging content and growing our online presence, and most of all, connecting with students across different years.

I’ve seen firsthand how our posts can bring people together from sharing educational posts to celebrating our amazing events.

I’m passionate about dermatology and want to continue promoting DermSoc across all platforms and degrees, making dermatology education fun, inclusive, and accessible for everyone.

I’d love your support — please vote for me for Social Media Officer!

Thelma Fankam

I’d love to be Social Media Officer for DermSoc because it combines two things I enjoy most - visual storytelling and raising awareness about skin health. Through my initiative Bridge the Gap, I’ve seen how powerful social media can be in starting conversations about dermatological conditions and their psychological impact. I’d bring this same drive to DermSoc, using our platforms to educate, engage, and inspire students.

I want to make DermSoc’s content more interactive and accessible - from spotlighting clinical cases and dermatology research to featuring student experiences and upcoming events. With experience in design, organisation, and managing outreach projects, I’m confident in creating a consistent, aesthetic, and informative online presence that reflects the society well.

Ultimately, I’d love to help grow DermSoc’s community by making it a go-to space for anyone interested in skin health, whether they’re future dermatologists or simply curious about the field.
