Hey everyone, I'm Leimi and I'm standing to be the president of Comedy Club!
As we all know, last year the comedy club has gone through its trials and tribulations eventually becoming defunct and forgotten.
However this year, it is time to bring laughter back to UCL.
As president of this club, I will be committed to organising stand up events at Phineas, Institute, Mully's or any of the other UCL bars similar to the success we've seen from Jazz Soc's Jazz Nights where we will get a chance to perform, laugh, improve and embarass ourselves.
I will also be focused on hosting workshops where we can discuss our material and practice with each other as well as fun socials where we will get to know each other, relax and watch some comedy shows.
Not only will I make Comedy Club great again, but this president will make sure everyone is included.
Wouldn't it be funny if a fresher becomes the president of a school club?
I think it'd be funny, and if you agree, you should vote for me.
I'm also standing in hopes to keep UCL's comedy scene alive and to try my best at ensuring everyone has fun in a well-organised environment where things run smoothly, and only go wrong in a non-frustrating way.
Hey guys, I love a good hearty laugh and I would love to get the Comedy Club running again, so here I am to get involved! Not really sure what to say here, but here’s a joke:
What’s blue and smells like red paint?
Blue paint.
