Kamalini Rajesh

As a first-year Biochemical Engineering student with a strong interest in biotechnology, I am eager to contribute to the Biotechnology Society as Treasurer. I am motivated to ensure that the society’s resources are managed effectively, transparently, and in a way that supports its events, initiatives, and members.

Previously, I have managed finances for several large volunteering projects, overseeing budgets, tracking expenses, and coordinating funding for events. These experiences taught me the importance of careful planning, attention to detail, and responsible financial management, which are skills I am eager to bring to this role.

I am comfortable using spreadsheets, monitoring budgets, and ensuring funds are allocated effectively to maximize impact. I am approachable and collaborative, committed to keeping members informed and ensuring financial decisions align with the society’s goals.

As the biotechnology field continues to advance, I aim to ensure that the society’s resources are allocated effectively to support hands-on projects, workshops, and events that enable students to develop practical skills, engage with the field creatively, and apply their knowledge. By managing the budget carefully, I hope to make initiatives accessible to all members and provide opportunities that foster innovation, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of biotechnology. This role requires careful planning and calculations, and I’m confident in my ability to handle it very well.
