Bhangra Society: Marketing Officer

I have been a loyal, enthusiastic member of Bhangra Soc since I joined UCL,  and it's made me more confident in every way.  I am passionate about showing off this aspect of our culture whenever I can, and would love to do it as your marketing officer! 

Doing Rangeela last year taught me many things not just about the dance, but the commitment required to keep this society running, being ambitious about our goals, and most importantly, about working in a team. I saw how much effort the committee put into running things smoothly and their joy and passion shine through, so I want to do my part for a society that means so much to me.

Despite not being a first year representative, or holding any committee positions, I still taught a session in Term 3 last year, and volunteered at the Welcome Fair. This demonstrates that though I was not obliged to, I will still work extra hard for our society.

I have the confidence and creativity to be an active marketing officer, and I enjoy communicating to people. Over the summer I did social media work for an organisation I volunteered at, which gave me valuable experience that I am eager to apply to this role.
