I believe I have the capabilities of handling the responsibilities as captain, like organising team dinners, sorting out scoresheets, and leading the team. I believe it’s important not to neglect other aspects of the role, such as caring for our teammates wellbeing, encouraging a sportsmanlike attitude, and maintaining a competitive yet cheerful energy throughout the team. I hope to be the best that I can for the team whilst maintaining a good relationship between the team and the coach, so that everyone can work hard and have fun on and off court.

I am putting myself forward for captain because I care deeply about this team and I am passionate about pushing us to be the best we can be. I want to lead with energy, determination, and respect, making sure we play hard, support each other, and represent our school with pride. I am so excited for our season this year and look forward to getting to know everyone a lot more.
