Hi, I’m Emma, a first year History student, and I’m a firm believer that food and baking bring people together. I want to create and help organise inclusive events that are fun and build a welcoming and friendly baking community. Baking society is great way to meet new people in relaxed environment, and with my organisation and enthusiasm for the society I can bring to the table ideas and help plan events that are enjoyable for everyone.

  • I Might Have Some Experience  – As the current Welfare Representative for Societies at UCL Students Union, I represent club members' welfare concerns and facilitate peer support across multiple organisations. I want to leverage this experience to make Baking Society more connected and consistent, ensuring every member feels supported and engaged through regular, inclusive events.
  • I Will Build Community You'll Keep Coming Back To –Through working in UCL LWOB and managing inter-society coordination, I've developed expertise in managing operations. Combining my experience managing case files under tight deadlines in my legal internships with my ability to juggle logistics and ensure consistent event delivery, I excel at building lasting community connections.
  • I Know What Attracts New Members – While I've just joined this year, this gives me insight into what new members need to feel welcomed and stay engaged. As someone who's done event organisation in high school and understands the challenges of being a new member through my experience as a Student Counsellor in high school, I will build a consistent events calendar that makes Baking Society a more connected and reliable space for all members throughout the year.
  • I also just like having fun and baking a bunch of new things!

SO VOTE FOR ME IF YOU WANT A MORE ENGAGING, CONSISTENT AND FUN EVENTS CALENDAR!!!

Chloe Du

I'm excited to run for Events Officer in Baking Society:) Having been the President of my Sixth Form Charity Society for two years, I have plenty of experience organising bake sales, coordinating volunteers, and managing events that bring people together (and raise plenty of money along the way!). If elected, I would love to bring that same energy and creativity to the Baking Society - helping to plan events that are well-run, vibrant, and, of course, full of cake. I'd love to make baking in a kitchen together happen for members!!! Baking is all about the joy and chaos in the kitchen,  which is why I want to organise baking lessons and LIVE bake-offs for everyone to join in the fun. I’d also be eager to collaborate with other UCL societies to make our events even more fun and memorable. I’d be delighted to help keep our society thriving! >.<

Zon Li

I am standing for the role of Events Officer because I am passionate about baking and getting more people involved with the society . The Baking Society provides many wonderful activities for students to connect, and I would love to contribute by organising engaging, well-coordinated events!
