Asian Social Network Society: Vice-President

Hi! I’m Hailey Lee, currently studying Sustainability Policy.
I know that many of you may not know me yet — but I’m running for Vice President because I genuinely care about this society and what it can mean for all of us. I want to see this society thrive, and I am confident of making that happen.

As someone who once struggled to adapt to a completely new life far from home, I know how difficult it is to rebuild everything — your routine, your sense of belonging, even your confidence. I also know the comfort of finding people who understand you without explanation. Those small moments of connection can mean everything when you’re halfway across the world.
That’s why I want the Asian Social Network Society to be that place — a space where we can breathe, laugh, and find community. A home away from home, built by and for people who share the experience of being both far from home yet deeply connected through culture and empathy.
I’ve previously served as an East Asian student representative and a key member of an Asian Society. Here, I learned how to amplify the voices, organise events, and bring people together. If given this opportunity, I’ll bring that same energy and commitment here — to strengthen our network, create meaningful events, and ensure that every member, new or returning, feels seen and included.
I may not be the most familiar face yet, but I’m deeply invested in seeing this society grow stronger together. I want to see it do well — and again, I have the confidence
