Okay lets actually keep it real, no chatgpt nonsense. First of all, I'm Nigerian (not to be that guy)- but I'm really not new around here. I've already been to majority of the events ACS have held and whilst they're definitely up there, I know exactly what's missing. I'll keep it simple, more food, more fun and deeper connections with people who look like us!

I'm here to make ACS a space where we can comfortably talk and laugh- genuinely learn about each other's cultures and interests. Not just a quick turn up and you're struggling to remember the name of the girl that sat next to you by the next event even though you were talking about how you have the same lash tech. Conversations that go beyond ‘what's your name’ and rather ‘where are we going out on Saturday?’ . Were here to establish actual friends, not just people you happen to know from ACS and I want to be the one to make this happen.

ACS is for all of us, may I remind you that includes all 54 African countries and 13 Caribbean nations- and literally anyone else who wants to be apart of this community because why are we limiting it? I'm thinking movie nights, food festivals and everything else.

You know you wanna vote for me, just do it sha. #VoteDavina

I’m standing because I have really enjoyed being a part of ACS since I came to UCL, and I know as a first year starting university can be overwhelming, so I’d love to help make ACS feel like a home-away-from-home for all my fellow first years. As your first-year representative, I would strive to help build a strong sense of community among first years and make sure everyone feels included, heard, and represented in ACS. I am organised, approachable, and I always have everyone’s best interests at heart. I believe I can bring energy, empathy, and commitment to this role, and I’d love the opportunity to make a positive difference for all of us in our first year at UCL.
