Afghan Society: Treasurer

My name is Frozan and I am currently a second year and have been a member of the UCL Afghan society since the start of last year and I have really enjoyed all the events so far and the amazing community that I’ve found here at UCL. I have loved the experience of being around others who share the same culture as me and can connect to in that way,  really making myself feel at home. I am therefore standing for the role of the treasurer this year. I am passionate about supporting and enriching our community while ensuring the society runs efficiently. I believe that financial management is at the heart of any successful organisation, and I am eager to bring my organisation skills, attention to detail and commitment to this role. 

I aim to manage the society’s funds responsibly, allocate resources effectively and find creative ways alongside my peers to ensure that our society can host meaningful fun events. Being a part of the committee will help me get closer to my afghan heritage and help with sharing the beauty of Afghan culture with everybody including non-afghans and ensuring that this society is a diverse and safe place in which everyone feels comfortable in.
