Sailing Club: Welfare Officer

I am a welcoming, easy to talk to person that has well integrated into the club since last year taking beginner lessons. I really enjoyed getting to know everyone on the team during summer sail week, and feel I have made connections with everyone so they would feel comfortable enough to talk to me if they needed. I have been acting as interim welfare officer since the beginning of this academic year, and have therefore already gained valuable experience in sorting out issues.  I have also attended most of the taster sessions at the start of the year, so the new members of the club already know my name and face! As a bonus, I am also an open water lifeguard so I can save anyone capsizing and am first aid trained - so I am a useful person to have around!!
