Natural Sciences Society: Welfare Officer

Hi guys, my name's Jemimah and I'm in my 3rd year :D

I'm running to be your next welfare officer because I'm someone who's always willing to listen - no matter how small or big the issue. Uni can throw you in some pretty rough times with no warning at all (trust me I'd know!!), and I want to be there to help navigate them.

With regular welfare hours and letting people reach me virtually, I can be an open set of ears for people to express their problems or just have someone to yap to. But that's not all! If elected, I also want to introduce innovative ways to bring the people on our course together. I've had the pleasure of making friends across all years and streams on our course, and want to extend the opportunities for others to do the same, as I believe we have the best cohort of friendly, smart and fun people. By doing so we'll be able to grow the society to be supportive and a welcoming environment for everyone.
