Elia Marie Voeffray Peyró

Hey everyone!

My name is Elia Marie Voeffray Peyró, and I am currently a first-year undergraduate student in Population Health Sciences. I would love to be your future Volunteering Officer!

But what do I bring to the table?

First and foremost, I hope to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where everyone can thrive.

As your Volunteering Officer, I will be reaching out to a wide range of organisations and very proactively looking for new volunteering opportunities that give back to the community, especially to support children in the UK and elsewhere, as well as putting together a wide range of events in relation to volunteering.

One of my aims will also be to develop a user-friendly platform of all the volunteering opportunities available to make it easier for everyone to get involved.

I would be honoured and delighted if you would entrust me with this possibility and I look forward to enhancing In Aid of UNICEF’s volunteering possibilities, coordination, and teamwork with all of you ! :)

Marie Bernard

Hello everyone,

I am a first year student in politics and international relations and would love to become your next volunteering officer !

I am truly motivated to make a change and improve the volunteering opportunities for anyone interested. I have experience in volunteering at charities and always enjoy my time and I always felt like helping, and I now want to make you feel the same when volunteering, as well as making more opportunities for the one wanting to join.

My experience:

  • I have worked with the association PathFinders in Hong-Kong, an association dedicated to improve the quality of life for children whose mothers migrated to Hong-Kong in search of employment, and that inspired me to create a magazine highlighting this situation
  • I have participated in several beach cleaning with "Under the beach the waste" charity, that surprisingly helped me to build stronger organizing skill that I think is essential for this position
  • As well, I participated in organizing a few bake sales at my school for a charity called Mayaa that improves the lives of underprivileged children in Nepal and Hong Kong

All those experiences help me to better understand the challenges we can face in organizing volunteering events and I also help me to build skills that are essential for this position such as a strong communication skill, listening skill and just in general a strong teamwork mentality.

Thank you for taking your time at reading my stand, and please VOTE FOR ME !!

Thank you :)

Marie B.
