Election post

Since late August I have been the acting Journal Editor, I have chosen the theme for this term's issue and begun to put the journal together. I would love to continue in this position by being officially elected. I feel that I am a suitable candidate for this position as I have previously undertaken intense committee positions, such as the Women's rugby Treasurer, so I understand the dedication it takes to run a society successfully and make an inclusive environment for all those who want to take part.
My goal as editor would be to uphold the journal's high standards while expanding its scope to include commentaries and hosting a competition with the involvement of some of the professors from the history department, which I have already put into motion. I am committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment that values diverse perspectives, through guiding submissions with constructive feedback and a transparent review process.
If selected, I would be honoured to lead the editorial team, continuing the longstanding dedication that the History Society Journal has upheld and helping promote my peers' creativity in the exploration of themes that go outside the university classroom, allowing for personal improvement in short essay writing.
Thank you for considering my application.
