Lincoln Cheng

Hello Global China Study Society!

I’m Lincoln Cheng, and I’m excited to be running for a Committee Member position. With a background in international relations, including leadership roles within the UCL United Nations Association and as Secretary General of UCLMUN Edition X, I bring experience in organizing events, engaging with global topics, and building vibrant communities. Now, I am eager to apply these skills to help the Global China Study Society grow as a hub for learning and discussion about China’s influence on the world stage.

Relevant Experience
In my roles as President of the UCL United Nations Association and Secretary General of UCLMUN, I had the opportunity to connect with global leaders, organize conferences, and foster meaningful conversations around international issues.

My work with organisations like UNESCO’s Global Youth Summit for Net Zero Future and the UN Summit of the Future Forum has deepened my understanding of international dynamics, which I believe aligns well with the mission of the Global China Study Society.

Goals as Committee Member
If elected, here’s how I hope to contribute to the society:

Bringing Diverse Perspectives to Events
I’m committed to helping organize events that explore China’s impact on global issues, from economic development to environmental policy. I aim to bring in a range of voices and insights, creating a program that reflects China’s multifaceted role in the world today.
