Gaming Society: Socials & Branding Officer

I am nominating myself as the Socials and Branding officer because I am really passionate about design and gaming so I can really make our society stand out. I really don't have any more to say :P Please vote for me!

I would like to nominate myself as Socials and Branding Officer as UCLG has been the most welcoming and enjoyable society I have had the privilege to be a part of, and so, I wish to be able to step up and have the opportunity to improve and contribute to the society myself. I have had previous posts as a social media and design manager for multiple school projects and clubs back in high school, so I have a lot of experience with managing social media accounts responsibly and being active in order to increase interest and engagement for the activities we would host, and I believe my experience and skills would be able to positively contribute to the gaming society's social media presence and branding. I am also well-versed in multiple art and design programs including Canva, CSP and Adobe After Effects, so I can create image graphics, illustrations, designs and video edits/trailers for social media posts, design merch or create cool montages of our esports teams' clips, and if needed, I am more than happy to provide links to my previous works. Furthermore, as a first year student, I have a lot of free time compared to students in subsequent years, thus I will be able to fully dedicate myself to contributing and working on our society. I hope that I will be able to increase interest both within our society and other UCL students for our online and offline events through what I bring to the table, and would be honoured to be considered for this role. 

As the current interim socials and branding officer i am familiar and able to manage communications and crafting engaging content for our social media platforms.  My experience in this role has equipped me with the skills to create impactful and visually appealing posts that resonate with our community. I believe I am well-suited for this position due to my creativity, attention to detail, and strong commitment to our society’s vision. My dedication to maintaining a consistent, engaging online presence would enable me to effectively continue driving our social media forward.
