Aglaé Fricoteaux

Hi !

I'm Aglaé (yes, a bit tricky to pronounce—my parents didn't do me any favours with this), a first year (makes sense) ISPS student doing Full econ and Mandarin.

I'm excited to stand for First-Year Representative in the EISPS society, ready to bring together our cohort and keep everyone connected to what’s happening behind the scenes in our community.

With past experience as both a class representative and a member of my high school’s Student Life Council, I've honed my skills in translating “student talk” into “administrator language” (not always an easy feat!). These experiences taught me the importance of making sure every voice is heard, especially in a department as diverse as ours, where we each bring unique stories and perspectives.

As First-Year Rep, I'd make it my mission to gather and share your ideas and concerns, while also creating a real sense of community in the EISPS society. From organizing events that help us all settle in (and maybe even learn each other’s names!) to ensuring everyone feels welcome, I’m ready to be a point of support and a friendly face. And yes, I'd happily scout out any future committee legends among us—because, let’s face it, with everything we’re going to accomplish this year, there’ll be plenty of inspiration to go around.

I’m confident that as First-Year Representative, I can bring a positive energy, a listening ear, and just the right dash of enthusiasm to make this year not only memorable, but actually enjoyable for all of us.
