Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarianism Society: Secretary

As a Yorkshire lass enjoying the London life whilst studying this fabulous course, I'm keen to be voted Secretary of the newly revamped and rebranded DRRH society. 

As Secretary, I’ll work for you whilst maintaining focus on these 3 aspects that I feel are key to fulfilling the role:

• Organisation: I’ll ensure meetings are organised, agendas are clear, and actions are recorded, to ensure an effectively run society. My strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated through group activities so far, combined with my love for spreadsheets will feed into making this happen.
• Accessibility: Everyone should feel supported and able to participate in society activites, so I endeavour to make events and communications accessible for our rich diaspora of students across the academic years. My experience of being an elected Disabled Students' Rep demonstrates this ongoing commitment and it's something I wish to mirror within the DRRH society.
• Commitment: Those of you who know me will also know I show up... (come London rain or shine)! I'll extend this commitment to the society ensuring I'm there to take accurate minutes, follow-up actions and fulfil key responsibilities as well as supporting others.
