Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarianism Society: President

Hi! I'm Iman - I’m excited to put my name forward to continue as President of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarianism Society. 

Stepping into this role as interim president has been an incredible experience—I’ve loved every moment, from organizing our debut academic conference, to meeting everyone at our socials, movie night and bake sale!

But more than anything, what’s made this journey special is getting to know so many of you and building such a close bond with our amazing committee. I’m beyond proud of how much this society has grown in just three months since we took it on together, and I’m so grateful to be part of such a passionate and driven team.

Looking forward, I’m more motivated than ever to keep up this momentum and take our society even further. We’ve got so many exciting plans on the horizon: more academic conferences, incredible volunteering trips, our first Geneva Trip - and, of course, our winter and spring ball! Each of these events is a chance not only to strengthen the incredible community we’ve built, but also have our go at making a real impact, meeting friends along the way. I would be honoured to continue my leadership and deliver this, with so much more!

Thank you for considering my nomination. I would truly love the chance to continue building on everything we’ve achieved so far, and I would love nothing more than to continue leading this society and helping it reach even greater heights.
