Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarianism Society: Academic Outreach Officer

Hi I'm Natalie, and I am excited to put myself forward to continue as Academic Outreach Officer for the Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarianism Society.

Since returning from my year abroad in September, I have had the pleasure of working closely with the interim committee in this role. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, I’ve supported the committee in decision-making and even given my own speech to promote the society to newcomers. By continuing as Academic Outreach Officer, I’m eager to take on new responsibilities, such as organising events and communicating closely with various potential speakers and parties, with the aspirations of growing the events and society even further.

We have some very valuable events coming up such as the trip to Geneva, and the Winter and Spring ball, but I can guarantee we will put forward a plethora of even more insightful events in the coming year.
