If elected for this position:
I will be social
I will force all of you to be social
This will be the most social society ever!

Ok but fr, I am enthusiastic and sociable person and self-diagnose as an extrovert. I have previous experience as an events organizer for a food society, where I was actively involved in planning and executing a wide range of activities. These included volunteering initiatives, lively pub quizzes, festive gatherings, and themed events that kept our members excited and connected. I also thrive in creative environments and love a good challenge! Eagerly looking forward to this role x

If elected, I’ll make it my mission to foster links between every section of The Cheese Grater. I’m committed to bringing the entire society together.

Society-wide socials are an important part of collaboration. Some of my plans for this role involve pub quizzes, termly seasonal socials and potential collaboration with the Cheese and Wine Society – of which they are so far completely unaware.

I am also entirely open to suggestions and feedback from society members. Do you want a cheese board at the next pub quiz? A cheese themed quiz? Something more serious? If so, I’ll get it done.

Who is the social secretary? What do they do? What events do they organise? What is Cheesemas? If you vote for me, you’ll have the answer to at least one of these questions.

Do you like socialising? Do you think women are funny? Then vote for me as social secretary!

As a member of Cheese Graters for two years now, I’ve attended ALL the social events one could muster up, even the long lost quiz. (I’ll never let my housemates down for questioning my Dr Who knowledge and losing)

The socials are the best part of my week; having a gossip about Rugby club antics, complaining about history dissertations and listening in to silly convos.

I’d love to work with the committee to put on socials, help organise events for all groups and generally get seriously stuck in with the Cheese Grater. The society makes me want to come to Uni more, unless i’ve caught the plague from freshers at the student centre.

This year I’ve even joined every group so they can’t get rid of me even if they might want to. I’m well versed in how to put on events as I have put on one (1) surprise party in my entire life and so have all the knowledge needed.

Seriously now, I’d like to put on more events if possible. Visits to museums/exhibitions/readings to make more people fall in love with Cheese Graters and writing as I have. I’d like to make Open-Mics more prevalent as they’re always fantastic.  In general I’d like to continue and help the committee with all the hard work they do for our amazing magazine.

Vote for me if you have ever socialised!

(Also come see the graters 14th November!)
