Cheese and Wine Society: Media Secretary

Hey! I’m Miko (Xingmeizi) Chen, a third-year Biomedical Sciences student, and I’m putting myself forward to be the next Media Secretary for this society. If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’m seriously passionate about wine and cheese. For me, nothing beats discovering new pairings and learning about the stories behind each flavour. I have a natural eye for detail—whether it’s choosing the right image, crafting captions, or ensuring posts are informative yet fun. This would help me create content that feels polished, engaging, and true to our society’s vibe.

Why Media Secretary?
I’ve noticed that our society’s social media presence has been a bit quiet lately, and I believe there’s so much potential to build a vibrant online community around our shared love for cheese and wine.

As Media Secretary, my main goals would be to:

Make Our Socials Come Alive: I want our social media to be an exciting space where we showcase events, highlight memorable moments, and share recommendations.
Add Educational Aspects: I have ideas for some informational content such as pairing basics or “cheese of the month” features.
Boost Interaction: Through polls, quizzes, and member shoutouts, we can keep our page fun and interactive. This could also give the community some insight into which selections were the most popular and the most anticipated.
