Hi! I'm Rebecca and I'm thrilled to run for Client Relations Vice President. My journey with this society began as Client Relations Executive, where I took on active roles in Business Society initiatives such as DECA as the Corporate Finance Workshop lead, "Meet the Committee", BizSoc social, and more. These experiences have woven in me a deep sense of connection to our society, strengthening my commitment to deliver the best results for the BizSoc community.
As Client Relations VP, I have a vision for a society that is rich in...
- Collaboration: Fostering a spirit of teamwork and community.
- Opportunity: Securing sponsorships, workshops, and projects that empower.
- Networks: Hosting panels, competitions, and events to expand professional connections for members.
- Nourishment: Supporting career and personal growth through skill-building.
- Engagement: Organising regular, interactive events.
- Communication: Ensuring transparency between the committee and members.
- Trust: Members should feel heard, valued, and empowered.
In my roles in LSC as a consultant, Student Lead for my faculty, and Head of Marketing for the Lifestyle Med Society, I gained insight into understanding member needs, allowing me to represent their interests effectively. Additionally, organizing the Annual Pathology and Medical Society Conferences strengthened my ability to transform ideas into meaningful results.
As VP, I will champion CONNECT to secure partnerships, host engaging events, and unlock new opportunities for all!
I am eager to leverage my experience in finance, client management, and teamwork to further the mission of the society. As Welfare Officer at the Hedge Fund Society, I have developed a deep understanding of how to foster collaboration, ensure member satisfaction, and create meaningful relationships within the financial community.
In these positions, I managed the Welfare Fund, led campaigns to improve well-being support, and cultivated relationships with key sponsors, securing £5,000 in additional funding for our initiatives. I also collaborated closely with other societies (e.g. School of Management society) and organized cross-functional events that brought together diverse groups of students.
I also took part in client engagement initiatives, which taught me the importance of clear communication and responsiveness to the needs of our partners. These experiences have shown me the significance of maintaining robust client relationships, especially in an environment as dynamic as a student society.
As VP of Client Relations, I am committed to using my skills to maintain and enhance the partnerships the society has already established, while working diligently to expand our network. I believe in the society’s mission to diversify career options and boost employability for students, and I am excited by the opportunity to contribute further to this cause by providing valuable insights, managing partnerships, and ensuring that our stakeholders are engaged and satisfied.
