Bulgarian Society: Events Officer 

My name is Deyan Emilov, and I am an MSc student and a former undergrad at UCL. As a member of the Bulgarian Society since 2019, I have been an active part of all events and panels, doing my best to cultivate the spirit of our motherland. I truly believe that keeping traditions and activities alive and networking with fellow members of the Society are essential to becoming better people and supporting each other in ways intrinsic to our culture. I am extremely passionate about positively impacting on a personal and group level while being an intrinsic part of the organisation process. The Bulgarian Society has greatly improved throughout the years and has managed to attract more and more students through its engaging, exciting and welcoming events. I wish to be a part of this thrilling process of keeping the Bulgarian spirit alive at UCL and helping organise inclusive, interactive and hopefully entertaining events.

I possess a variety of skills that are essential in this role. My organisational and teamwork skills are exquisite, signified by my outgoing and cooperative nature and past positions in other societies throughout the years (in the ADM Mathematics Society and the Basketball Club). I am also very outgoing, understanding, and forthcoming, and I keep a professional (but also easygoing) approach to every task at hand. I believe my skill set and the fact that I keep close contact with all members makes me a perfect fit for the role of Events Officer.
