Given the changes in leadership, I am running for the role of vice president to help both the organisation and growth of the club.
Having grown up in London, I have links to the wider basketball community (facilities, coaches), as well as an existing dialogue with the Student Union President that I will leverage to help the position of our club.
This is a sport I love dearly, having grown up playing in Somers Town CSC, and I am resolute in my goal to act as an advocate for those who want more opportunities to enjoy the game we love.
Moreover, as a mature student, I am not here for resumé padding. I simply aim to be a steward, someone who can make sure that the back-end runs smoothly so that we can all just play the sport we signed up—and paid—for.
