🌟 Hey everyone! I’m Valini, Barbell’s resident fake bodybuilder since having to quit powerlifting (not my choice but oh well). Since joining last year, I've loved meeting new people, getting to see everyone's progress at the gym, and having a community that makes me extremely happy and also helps me progress in a way I never thought I would be able to! Last year I especially loved going to watch Varsity and hyping up everyone competing, I also really enjoyed watching BUCS with everyone in the Science Library during exam season and recording every lifts and getting stressed for everyone lol.
I’m excited to run for Social Media Officer as I have always had a passion for taking pictures and videos; you can ask anyone, the amount of pictures and videos I have on my phone is quite concerning (I am running out of storage). Also a big fan of capturing funny pictures at Blooms during sessions (my camera roll is filled of pictures of our president Emma). With your support, I’ll be working hard to show off the best of Barbell: from the gym vibes, unforgettable Phineas nights, our non-drinking socials and obviously taking pictures of everyone during Novice and Varsity to show off the amazing community we’ve all built. My goal is to make Barbell accessible and welcoming online, so everyone feels inspired to join and connect.
I am so excited to see what this year has to offer us and I hope we can make incredible memories to remember for a lifetime!! 🩷
